Joseph S. Massie was admitted to the bar in Virginia in 1993, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in 1995 and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Virginia in 1998. He is currently an attorney in good standing with the local bar.
Mr. Massie graduated from the Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English in 1987. He went on to attend Wake Forest University, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1992 before joining the District Attorney’s Office, where he served as a prosecutor. Mr. Massie is currently a member of the Virginia State Bar, the Old Dominion Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Mr. Massie currently serves on the Board of Business at Wake Forest University, where he has also taught as a member of the faculty in the Criminal Justice Department.
